Women in STEM Networking Event 2018

The Launch STEM Career project and the Florida Institute of Technology Society of Women Engineers hosted its first Women In STEM Networking Event on February 20, 2018. The purpose of the event was to provide the opportunity for female FIT students to dialogue with women professionals in the same career fields as the students are pursuing. The event was a huge success with 150 total women in attendance including STEM professionals and FIT students. Many of the organizations in Brevard County that have career STEM professionals came out to support the FIT girls. Organizations in attendance included Northrop Grumman, Harris Corporation, NASA, 45th Weather Squadron, Thales, General Electric, Alstom Transport, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Embraer, Novell Engineering, and Sun Nuclear.
